Little Snoring Community Primary Academy

Welcome to Little Snoring Community Primary Academy

Little Snoring Community Primary Academy converted as a good school to become an academy on 1st August 2018.  It is part of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust (DNEAT). It is a small school and serves the village of Little Snoring and the surrounding area, and caters for four to eleven year olds.

We are sited three miles east of Fakenham on the edge of Little Snoring village, overlooking farmland.

A large extension to the building opened in 2005, this includes a sports and arts hall, two classrooms, disabled toilet facilities, changing room, quiet room, and two offices.

The Victorian building links with the new building and includes a classroom, a library, a resources room and staffroom. The whole school site is a no smoking zone.

Outside the playground surfaces are marked with courts and games. The playground surrounds are landscaped with seating areas.

We have our own playing field of about half an acre; this is marked with a 5-a-side football or rounders pitch and running tracks, depending on the season. There is also a sand pit, poly-tunnel.

The children are encouraged to enjoy and care for all their surroundings. We are developing a wildlife garden and have a vegetable garden with raised beds.

The three classrooms are arranged with furniture grouped to produce interesting work areas which are enhanced by colourful displays of children’s work.

We want children and staff to enjoy a pleasant working environment.

How we work:

The school is divided into three classes each taught by a qualified teacher, most are supported by Teaching Assistants.

Some of our Teaching Assistants work with SEN children and other work within the whole class environment.

Our class sizes are around 24-30 pupils per class (roughly 10 pupils less than most larger primary schools locally).

Behaviour:

In our academy it is important we promote and encourage the best possible behaviour of everyone who is associated with it.

We celebrate children’s greatness.

As part of this work we have a Behaviour Blueprint that everyone follows (this compliments our Behaviour Policy and Academy Rules).
